Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your Laavy account and what happens to your data when you do.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly from within the Laavy app:

  1. Open the Laavy app on your device
  2. Go to Profile by tapping your profile icon
  3. Tap Settings (gear icon)
  4. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm deletion when prompted

The deletion process begins immediately after confirmation.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your profile information — name, email address, and avatar
  • Your photos and memories — all media you've uploaded
  • Your drawings and content — everything you've created in the app
  • Your check-ins and board content — energy, mood, appreciations, and other entries
  • Your nest memberships — you'll be removed from all shared spaces
  • Your notification preferences — all settings associated with your account

What May Be Retained

In certain cases, some information may be retained:

  • Shared content in nests — Content you shared with others may remain visible to other nest members so they can continue to access their shared history
  • Anonymized analytics — Aggregated, non-identifying usage data that cannot be linked back to you
  • Legal requirements — Any information we're required to retain by law

Important Notes

  • This action is permanent — Account deletion cannot be undone
  • Immediate effect — You will be logged out and lose access immediately
  • Reinstalling the app — Will not restore your deleted account or data
  • Creating a new account — You can create a new account with the same email, but your previous data will not be restored
